Why?

We think this will look really nice in the photos! We also think black is a color you're likely to already have and be able to rewear. 

Can I wear a color other than black?

Please don't.

Can I wear navy or dark blue?

Please don't.

Can I wear white?

Are you serious? Please, please don't. 

Do men have to wear a tux?

Nope! A regular black suit is just fine :) 

Do men need to wear a black shirt?

No - a white shirt under a black jacket is totally fine :) 

What will happen if I wear a color other than black?

Nothing. You will likely really stand out but your presence is most important to us so if this is prohibitory to you coming please talk to us! 

What does "church appropriate" mean?

In general, your shoulders are covered. It's December, so wearing a coat, shawl or sweater over your outfit is a great option for the church! When in doubt, just ask :) We are happy to receive a photo and give you ideas!

If I bring a shawl or shrug for the church does it have to be black?

Black would be perfect! A muted color would be good. A bright color or pattern will likely stick out in photos.

Can I change between the ceremony and reception?

Sure! If you'd like to wear something church appropriate for just the ceremony and then something else for the reception, go for it!
